Birthday Art-a-thon

Hey guys, Kitty here. I have decided to do something different for the next two week. Instead of doing the usual live-streams, I decided to do a huge Birthday Art-a-thon from Aug 14th until the 24th Aug. Within the two weeks, I will showing over various art projects regarding my manga and its characters. As well as working progress of commissions and  art livestreams on my Twitch. Since creating is one of my loves in the world. I feel the best way to express myself for my birthday is doing what I love most. ^^ I hope you guys can make it, for we going to have fun fun fun. <3

3rd official Harrison Wells/HR appreciation ficathon/art-a-thon

It’s been a little over a week since the midseason finale and I’ve had a number of people point out to me how quiet the community’s been lately, so do you know what that means...?

That’s right! IT’S HARRISON WELLS APPRECIATION FICATHON/ART-A-THON (Part III) TIME, YOU GUYS!!!

Since everything went rather smoothly the last couple of times I put this challenge together (and, again, a very big thank you to everyone who participated), I think we’ll stick to the same rules as before:.

RULES: Using a random generator with the names of the main/secondary characters of the show, you will be assigned 4 characters to choose from—pick at least one. You will then have two choices, depending on what form you would like to make your submission:

If you are writing something, you can choose to…

(1) Write one 1000+ fic that contains Harrison/Eowells/HR (your choice) and your assigned character (keeping in mind that there does not have to be a romantic relationship between them). You are more than welcome to include other characters in your piece, just as long as your assigned character interacts with Harry to some degree.

OR

(2) If you dislike all of your assigned characters (or if you want to write more than one piece), write one 200+ word fic(let) about Harrison and your assigned character, as well as another 500+ word fic(let) of Harrison and any other character(s) of your choice from the show

If you are making some kind of art piece (eg. a drawing, a gif set, a music video, etc.), your options are a little weirder…

(1) Make one piece that contains Harrison and your assigned character (again, this does not have to be a romantic piece, and you are more than welcome to include other characters)

OR

(2) If you dislike all of your assigned characters, make a stick figure picture of your chosen one interacting with Harry/Eowells/HR to some degree and then another, more elaborate piece containing Harrison and any other character(s) of your choice from the show.

As it stands, this is the list of characters that I will be entering into the generator (please keep in mind that you are free to write about the Earth-1 character or their doppelganger(s)):

If you happen to dislike the first four characters that the generator produces for you, I will redraw four new characters for you, but only once…

As it stands, the final due date for submissions will be midnight on 23rd of January 2016. What happens if you’re late? Well…nothing, actually. You will just deprive the world of your beautiful work.

Anyhow—that’s the gist of it. There is only one other thing I would like to point out to you, and that is that nothing needs to be canon. For example, if you want to write about Reverb surviving Zoom’s attack and interacting with Harry, that’s perfectly fine by me. Or if you’re still a die-hard fan of the Hunter/Jay “twin theory” and want to pretend Jay Garrick really is Hunter’s brother, I’m game with that as well. Those of you who participated last time know I’m pretty chill about the rules. I just want you to have fun.

Final note: Like last time, I will be tagging everything related to this challenge (both notices and submissions (fic and art)) as “harrison wells appreciation ficathon”. I will also eventually create a new Collections page on AO3 for those of you who prefer to post your stories there.

PS: There is no deadline to join. You can sit and ruminate over joining as long as you like. Just PM me/send an Ask/indicate your interest in a reblog to sign up (if you merely reblog this post and don’t mention signing up, I will just assume you are politely boosting the challenge for me)

I am in need of assistance~

Can someone help me find high res, side profile reference photos of Harry Wells (Harrison Wells is okay, but their hairstyles are a little different) and Jay Garrick? I have some, but the quality isn’t perfect, but I am using them as reference for lighting. 

It is so hard to find side profiles. I guess the director only like quarter or full on view. Meh~
