My contribution to the funky Eridian army 🥰🪨

Name: Scuttlebug

Gender/pronouns: Cis he/him

Sexuality: Aroace

Backstory: Rocky’s older brother, basically functions as a school bus for the young Eridians! Despite his unusual shape, the kids love him, and so do most of the adults because of his jocular, kind, and laidback personality :)

If you look closely at his markings you’ll notice some little Easter eggs I threw in there :) Anyone who can find and correctly identify all four will get their Eridian OC drawn as a little one riding Scuttlebug to school :)

*edit: one of the four is an inside joke, if you don’t get that one it’s fine :)

Deep snow pass❄️

The front of the path is buried in deep snow, making it impossible to move forward. This illustration shows how incredibly difficult it is.

Timeline-wise, this is the day after the SnowMonster illustration. In the SnowMonster illustration, the group isn't carrying any gear, but in this illustration, they're carrying backpacks. Deep snow can be difficult to traverse in one day, so the first day is used to clear a path. For this reason, they focus on clearing a path with light loads on the first day, and on the second day, they carry their gear and cross the pass.

The flag you see in the background was attached as a guidepost by someone at a nearby hut. During a snowstorm, visibility becomes completely white (whiteout), so these flags serve as landmarks to prevent getting lost.
