I finished painting Horace and gave him a nice shiny coat of varnish! I also added a feather to his cap - thank you @shanachiecarroll for that awesome idea! Once the varnish dries I will mount Horace's book to the little stand in front of him and he will be finished! Horace is so colorful now! 🎨 Today I sprayed him all over with an earthy red and a light dusting of green. This first step gave him some all-over color. Next, I'll be deepening and refining the colors with some brushwork accents and details! I finished Iris the dog bench! ❤️ She has been such a fun project. Iris is a memorial bench dedicated to Cindy Bennett, who began the Dog Ears program at the library. She is based on Cindy's real dog Iris.
