Designers, photographers, and creatives — let’s talk about the Artboard Tool.
It’s that magic tool that lets you design multiple pages or sizes in a single file!
No more messy tabs or scattered PSDs.
Just one neat file with all your designs lined up!
If you’re new to design or doing product shoots, give artboards a try — total game changer 💥
On the 4th of October, we had first Illustrator tutorial where we learned about vectors, pen tool, pathfinder and artboard tool.
I learned that vectors are just information (resolution is not important). More layers you have, the better because it makes it easier to manipulate objects later.
We did a lot of exercises using the pen tool which helped me to get used to it. An important thing to remember is the fewer points you have, the better.
I used a few options within pathfinder that are very useful when building an object: unite, minus front, minus back. We used a shape builder tool for making objects, as well.
We made three more artboards using artboard tool which is useful when doing logo examples for clients or similar things,
I really enjoyed this tutorial because it was useful and fun at the same time. I found the pen tool exercise really helpful!
