Redrawing my old pieces until I recognize my art again Part 1!

I am about one month away from graduating with a degree in art and I am so thankful for all the skills I have learned! I have noticed, however, that with all of these new skills and expectations I’ve put upon myself, I’ve become distant from my work in a way that I didn’t use to be. Most of the things that I’ve made lately haven’t felt like “mine”, and I really don’t like feeling that way. I’m taking some time to explore what made me want to be an artist in the first place and to see how much I’ve improved over the years! Here is a redraw of the first piece I ever made digitally. I remember that I had such a good time making it even though I had no idea how to use Procreate. This was a character that I really loved, I named her “Pale Peach Rose”
