Chainsmoker Cat
Playing with more explicitly Byzantine influences for Gondor (since I am 100% sure that Byzantium was, like, the historical influence for Gondor)
Currently this is just a compositional sketch for everyone except Boromir, but it's gone 3am so I really need to put it down.
I'm intentionally going for different periods and vibes between the three characters, to reflect their cultural attitudes. So Boromir gets a more medieval Byzantine influence (10th-11th century references), Denethor is an amalgamation of imperial fashions over the full period of the 8th-14th centuries, and Faramir is going much more classical 5th-6th century tunica and dalmatica. None of which is actually historically accurate, but, listen. I'm just playing.
this is, I think, also the first time I've drawn Boromir with a full beard, and I'm still figuring out how I feel about it.
Woman is a Tree
Continuing on my Last Dinner Party art series is Woman is a tree. 100% inspired by this picture of Aurora that always makes the rounds on my Pinterest. I don’t have much more to say about this one. It’s cute but I’m not in love with it. I have no emotional backing behind it.
random sketch from januray 21st ฅʕ•ᴥ•ʔฅ i initially drew eryx as if he were 14 years old, which is funny ......
