It feels refreshing watching how Miami’s Art Scene is really growing with such momentum. One of those contributors to the movement is no other than Art Central Miami , with several events under its belt locally and out of state the collective is really leaving a footprint in the Miami social art scene.
I had the privilege to attend their recent visual presentation in conjunction with the grand opening of the new artist space Miami Warehouse and let me just say I was blown away by the venue not to mention the collection of artist’s that were showing that night.
The space which was a smooth transition from room to room with dope lighting and a euphoric atmosphere the perfect vibe for the social taste-makers in attendance. With sections of different genre’s of artist ‘ssuch as Yates Cartwright with a trans-dimensional self reflected pieces , Sunshinesoulflower with her African inspired textured pieces , Mychalangelo with his toon inspired visuals are just some of the highlights from the show and so many more eye catching artist that were also in attendance.
Also featured was a life size Jenga and N64 gameplay projected on the walls, a new wave of artistry represented blending all faucets of entertainment .
I am definitely looking forward to seeing what comes out of the Collective and congratulate them on really adding to the Miami vibe and breaking stereotypical labels placed by the EDM Miami sector .
