Dani learning to love two versions of Jorge (bby Jorge and teen, young adult version of him) might just be healing something in Jorge as well.
Them sitting together and talking about shit they did as children. Also Jorge trusting Dani to tell him the truth about how he feels 🥺
Oh my, my heart. That is adorable. This au and just the concept of them being childhood friends is so stuck in my head that it made me check my period app 😂
Dani definitely learns to love all version of Jorge. Like he "loved" the kid version of Jorge, like 4 year old Jorge with who ran around and maybe played by a river, drew with crayons or played motogp rider. And Jorge was very shy and calm but incredible sweet and warmed up to Dani quickly and let him drag him along.
And then teen Jorge is nothing like taht, he's loud and rude and unapologetic. So Dani doesn't even think that Lorenzo could be the boy he met years ago. It just seems so impossible. But he kinds likes that aggression, the anger and wants that hyper focus and that possessiveness on himself...
And then. BOOM. He finds out they are the same person. I think that would leave Dani speechless for a good minute. Like how did that sweetheart, curious, kind kid that shared ice cream with him turned into a jerk insulting him and trying to get him to trip and fall on his face??? (Yeah Jorge stayed a lil shit but now it's his love language and Dani is giving him the same engery back so he ASSUMES that behavior is normal... God someone needs to domesticate this kid). And Dani loves him nonetheless.... Oh yeah, yeah that get's to Jorge.
Imagine Jorge growing up and starting to think he's unloveable so he clinges to the memory of his childhood bestfriend who within a few days became his whole world. That must have been love, right? So if Dani loved him then, maybe he isn't inherently a monster? Maybe there is good in him? But then he gets scared because he knows too that he's gotten more and more violent. He's no longer the boy Dani used to love so what if Dani wouldn't love him if he met him now? (Also what if that's why Jorge was so focused on annoying/ bullying Dani? He wanted him to know just how cruel he can be. He wanted to see if he'd chose him anyway and despite it all - like he thought about trying to be fake and nice and win Dani back by pretending he's still that kid. But he knew he couldnt pretend, not for so long. And he was terrfied Dani would leave him once he saw past the mask, so he chose to show Dani immediatly hwo cruel he could be.) But Dani did love him, with his antics, not despite them.... Jorge is definetly healing when he realizes that and I love to think that that made him open up. Like he wants Dani to know what happened to that kid he used to be. He wants him to know that his boyfriend didnt chose to be like that, that he isnt herently like that, but that he had to be like that. That he was turned into... this. And Dani loves him. Maybe even a bit more. And oh god he feels so sorry for kid Jorge.
Oh you're making me fall down a thought rabbit hole with this one....

Also imagine Dani comparing retired/ adult Jorge whose a lot calmer, less aggressive and just healed to kid Jorge. (Like healed Jorge being closer to not hurt kid Jorge). And Dani is like "You're still that kid I met when I was 5, playing at the beach" (Dani was on a vacation at 5 years old in Mallorca, close to Jorge's childhood home and they met and became playmates and then lost contact after Dani went back home...)
AND THEM TALKING ABOUT THE PAST??? Oh you're killing me with that. Like. No. NOooo, that is too much. Like they are giggling and joking and Dani is surprised Jorge remembers so much (like yeah he remembers a lot too but not like that). Cuteness overload.
