We asked Astronomy ten questions, this is how she responded…
What does your Art Haven username mean and why did you choose it? My username on Art Haven is identical to the one I have on IMVU. I started my journey selling digital art on IMVU’s art forums a decade ago so it just felt fitting to keep my username for off-site works as well. Anything celestial has always appealed to me and that’s where the username came from in the first place. .
How do you think that friends would describe you in three words? Introverted, funny and hungry.
Is there anyone who makes your Art Haven experience more enjoyable? My customers – not just enjoyable but possible in the first place. I’ve been making art for far longer than I thought I would and I still haven’t grown tired of it. It’s so motivating to see people reacting positively to my art and I’m so happy I have customers who have been around for years and who I consider friends by now.
If you were to win $10 million, what would you buy? A new house for my mom to enjoy her retirement years in! I’d probably also help my sister buy her own place and save the rest for when I really need it for something. Oh and lots of Christmas presents for everyone I love.

Ho ho ho it’s almost that time of the year again and I am SO ready.
What is your biggest pet peeve? Having to wait after people. I’m a punctual person and often even early so people arriving late to meetings we arranged to start at a specific time irks me to no end. It’s even worse when they don’t let me know they’ll be late so I just have to sit there and wonder where they are.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? Funny sad – I tripped over a chestnut. Luckily I didn’t fall (this time). I’m prone to tripping in general so I usually watch where I step but that one caught me off guard and I still think about this days later. :/
What is your favourite quote?

If a genie were to grant you one wish, what would you wish for? I’d like to see my boyfriend. He’s on the other side of the world and the pandemic has kept us apart since March but if all goes well, genie or no genie, he will be here by Christmas.
What inspires you as an artist? Other artists. I started from zero and have developed my own style by seeing beautiful art and picking up bits and pieces from here and there by trying to imitate what I see (like the way someone else paints hair) all while using programs and brushes I own. The end result is never identical, but that’s not my goal – by doing this, I’ve come up with my own way of working and thus a consistent style and, more importantly, a very efficient workflow. I’m a lot faster than I was in the past because of all the practice I’ve gotten thanks to learning things this way.
