Margaret Fog design and Fog family rant

I dont know how active Oliver fog fans are on Tumblr but I love the fog family and must post about them everywhere (especially my masc presenting Margaret vision)

I hc margaret to be welsh,, I assume Oliver to be at least half welsh since his favourite holiday is st davids day (I also have more nationality hcs for Arthur than just him being english butbut)

Also I think it'd be really cool if she was a pro chess player because back when I watched queen's gambit I thought that beth's character fits her

ah, so the purification machine being tied to arthur physically has and will probably take a toll on his health. he dies somewhere after dealing with the great smog of london, i think? just shy of christmas or after it, from what i remember. let me look it up.

yeah, i was right, arthur passes away just before christmas. morbid to think about considering the man is still alive and well, just doing his thing here. wonder if oliver doesn't like christmas all that much because that's the day after his dad died.

Also, I might be wrong... Was Arthur Fog inspired from Phileas Fogg (Around the World in 80 days)? I'm getting the same vibe? I used to watch the Jackie Chan version of the story in my childhood...
