Pencil sketches of my WordGirl OCs, Arthur P. and Joey Flowers
Working on a new WordGirl OC
His name is Arthur P. and he works at a bookstore. He likes comic books and trivia facts. I wanted to make him a villain but I don't really think that'd fit him well. He'd be introduced in a hypothetical Season 9 of WordGirl (much like Joey Flowers), he'd be a recurring character similar to Exposition Guy. His gimmick as a character is that he knows a lot of niche and random bits of information, and whenever WordGirl/Becky needs to know something specific, he's always conveniently there to talk about it. He's pretty much like Exposition Guy actually, just slightly different and a bit more assertive/confident in himself.

Drawing of WordGirl OC, Arthur P.
Fun fact about my OC Arthur P. is that the "P." in is name isn't actually a shortened form of something and is actually just "P." (With the period included). He got his name changed and didn't get enough sleep when he was filling out the forms so he forgot to write the rest of the name. On all his legal documents it says "Arthur P." He could've changed it back but honestly he liked it so much he kept it.
Who is Arthur P.?
Joey Flowers is my (current) main WordGirl OC but I also want to flesh out my other WordGirl OC, Arthur P.
Arthur P. is a civilian who works at a bookstore in Fair City who also frequently visits the library (the guy just LOVES books). He also likes videos games, computers, and would probably spend a lot of time on the internet.
If he were a character in the show, he would be a recurring character like Reginald or Exposition Guy (but he's more on the Exposition Guy side, he's even partially inspired by him). His gimmick as a recurring character is that he always seems to know incredibly specific and niche pieces of trivia/knowledge that somehow helps WordGirl/Becky figure out what she needs to figure out. I think this gimmick does kind of resemble Exposition Guy's gimmick, so here are the things I made different with Arthur:
Arthur doesn't really show up to places like Exposition Guy does. WordGirl/Becky always just happens to be where he is and their meetings are never expected/intentional on either side. He also ONLY appears when Becky is in a specific place such as the Library and the Bookstore he works at.
The things he says to WordGirl/Becky are never really meant to be connected to whatever/whoever she's dealing with, but somehow Becky is always able to connect them to her plights and use them as stepping stones to/inspiration in solving her problems.
He is very monotone and laid-back, he isn't as expressive as Exposition Guy, or even most of the other characters (think Timmy Tim-Bo, but with a slight twinge of cheekiness to his voice). He's very calm, even in dangerous situations.
Arthur P. is often sarcastic but never mean or outwardly antagonistic towards WordGirl or any of the main characters (if he does, it's unintentional). However he would like messing with the villains if he got the chance.
Trivia stuff:
He studied computer engineering.
