🎶 The song reveal from yesterday’s record playing post is called Village Swallows Waltz by Josef Strauss from this 1956 Boston Pops Picnic record. 🧺 In the 1950s, it was recommended not only to tote along good food and drink on your outdoor eating adventures but also a portable record player so that you could really set a scene! I love that! 🎶 Also the cover art on this record is just gorgeous. 📸 The photograph was taken by Mitchell Bliss (great name!) who I hoped would be a well documented photographer of midcentury life, but sadly there’s not much info on him. Another candidate for the vintage sleuthing pile!
