This is a start of a cosplay I have been wanting to do for a long time: Pit from Kid Icarus! I thought it would be fun to have articulating wings. My brother cut the wood and drilled the holes for the joints!

Here's the video of the wings moving! When it's all done, I will have thin but strong rope that I can pull and attach in front of me for when I want to fold in the wings.
I was wondering if you would do a tutorial on your wings? They look very interesting and most of the articulated wing tutorials out there are super complex to even read sometimes lol
I actually totally have a plan to do this. It’s just finding the time that’s difficult. I have to use my grandpa’s garage since he has all the tools and space, so I need to find time that will work for both of us!
I had the same problem as you though. I scoured the internet for hours trying to search for a tutorial that made sense to me and that would meet my needs and I just had no luck. Mine are definitely very simple which I like. It does take away from the shape a bit which kind of sucks, but! I think they still do their job =)
I do have a video up on my Facebook of the wings opening and closing sans feathers. which may help prior to me making a video, which I really really really hope to get up soon.

Are those real feathers or foam feathers?
Hey there!
I actually get this question quite a bit which is actually really flattering! After looking at the feathers for so long I began to hate them haha..
The feathers are indeed made out of foam. If one were to make a full set of wings like that with real feathers those wings would weigh a ton! I wanted lightweight and Akroma’s feathers are super specific as well so it gave me the opportunity to paint them the way I wanted. So yup, foam! There’s about 300 of those on there and the whole set of wings still only weighs about 4 pounds! =)
