Where are your creative spaces? Making art is a studio thing that overflows into the waiting spaces in my world. Car trips are definitely one of those as I find myself stepping into the playfulness of simple materials. Water colour pad Water brushes (3 at least) Water colour blocks and palette tins Small tube of white gouache Paint pens and a biro grey lead pencil and graphite stick Of course this list varies but most fit into a pencil case. If I know there is waiting involved, I will take my packed bag with me and waiting spaces turn into spaces for creative play. Trusting what comes and enjoying the process. I usually work on more than one piece at a time and car creating is a perfect example. I created the owls yesterday and had a second piece that turned out to be a girls face images that naturally flowed. I started in exactly the same way as the owls. Dripping water and playing with the water colour flow on the page but this time the shape of a chin jumped out and so the face emerged. I thought that I would add flowers in her hair but they were definitely owls. Each step in this intuitive process is trusting the inner guiding whispers. These heart whispers are intuitive and the blocks come when you listen to the logic of your thinking mind. It is letting go and allowing.
