this time last year we opened the doors to a new world. I had never run an art gallery before (nor any brick & mortar space for that matter) so I had to learn on the fly. I wasn't worried tho because I'm a hustler & guerilla and hustlers & guerillas figure shit out. I wasn't worried because I'm my mama's and my daddy's son & I come from a long line of hustler/guerillas that figure shit out. Most importantly tho I wasn't worried because I had a group of smart, creative, crazy af dreamers around me down to put it down for the mission... & figure shit out. A year later I feel like we accomplished our first year mission. Build the Brand. Serve the Community. Give Artists a Space to Shine Their Light #NOBorders #AllMediums #ArtisCurrency we did that. Over & over, show after show. All the awesome exhibitions we've housed within these walls, all the amazing artists that have shown works, all the relationships that were formed & transformed over this past year have changed me. It wasn't easy but it was fun af & I learned so much. 👁 thank you 🙏🏽. I hope we can continue to serve the community (and keep the lights on) for years to come.
