Do you have any plans with Rinko? Your little pimk dragon clan girl?
What is the Dragon Clan in your lore and how close is Rinko to it as a descendant?
No specific plans, I don't really know how she'll fit into my main au story but I really like her! The vague ideas I do have are that she is Sora and Ryuto's age and a rival to Sora. She kind of mirrors him in his beginning because she also has potential but either hasn't realized how to tap into it yet or she needs some character growth to have actual interesting battles (I imagine she resorts to fist fights more often than beyblade).
I actually created her from an idea I had to have Haruto interact with kids living near where he's been hiding from the DN/recovering from almost getting killed, I haven't worked out the details. Basically slowly having more glimpses and contacts with the outside world again after being in the Hades cult and in a fortress for so long.
Rin is an evolution from an idea of a kid reminding Haruto both of himself and also of Ryuga. He feels a lot of guilt whenever he sees that kid and kind of wants to help in an awkward cryptic way but a well meaning one. She gets into fights a lot and tries to overcompensate with her inferiority complex by being loud and wanting to look self assured but she fails at that a lot, she is super stubborn and driven though so she always gets up out of mainly spite. But she also always sticks up for people weaker than she is. I imagined maybe giving her a friend who has a black and white color scheme and is very shy and scared all the time, that she protects a lot from bullies. Ironically it would be funny if that friend was a lot more powerful than she is but never shows it for.. reasons?
I think at first the idea was that Rin was a boy and would have the black and white color scheme and a Salamander bey and be from the dragon clan but I quickly made it two characters and made Rin a girl because it's just way better.
I like the idea of my dragon clan characters adding to the lore a little but like but extremely tiny bits and also most of them being distant descendants or just sometimes not aware of that connexion between each others. I don't have anything written in stone or super well thought out but I like the idea of the dragon clan having been a large group of ppl who mostly used dragon related beys and had maybe religions or myths surrounding beyblade and dragons? Maybe they had like secret rites and techniques and liked to stay within their own group far from the rest of the civilizations. But I imagine now in my au that time is mostly over, the dragon clan exists in its descendants who are more or less all part of society and who maybe know about their origins through family history and like... legends? But it's not a well known thing at all. Now I do think it would be cool if some very small parts of the clan remained but was even more evasive and hard to find than it was before. It would be cool but for right now, I think for example Ryuto knows about his origins, takes some pride in it and maybe his treasure hunts and travels help him find out more about it but that's about it. Tatsuki I'm not sure, either they do have connections with it without knowing any real context at to what the dragon clan was, or they know nothing at all. Ryuga knows vague things about it that I think maybe Doji picked and told him to feed into his ego and chosen one attitude? And after that he would probably learn more about it, maybe after the main story is over also go on a quest to find the remaining hidden clan members too, that would be really cool...
As for Rinko I don't think she knows much about it, I imagine her family life is complicated and tumultuous but if she learned about it during the story she'd take pride in it and probably think it means she's incredibly more powerful that most people bc it's in her blood (it's not how it works and i don't think she even believes that but she gets to be a loud mouth and stupid and also have fun it's okay I love her) anything to hide her insecurities
But yeah basically I think Ryuga, Tatsuki and Ryuto are some sort of cousins, but like removed a couple times? I don't know how that works. And Rin is also a cousin but even more far removed. And I don't know if I want any of them to acknowledge it even if they meet. Or if they do learn it they won't really feel like family or be close in response to it?
