For deviantArt’s 17th birthday, members were challenged to take a pre-existing doodle and make a full drawing out of it. When I saw it, I immediately thought of the frelanges that were popular in the early 18th century, and went from there. This lady sports a frelange, fontage and early mantua.

#artisthack: If, like me, you never really found a use for colorless blender markers, don’t throw them away! They are lovely to use for blending colored pencils.
