SO. This drawing is finally done, and it’s also the beginning of something new.
I’ve always felt like I was a collection of personalities that I could never feel comfortable with, but, well after becoming 30, having gone through a divorce, several studies, and now currently a pandemic, I think I’ve found some kind of peace with myself: who I am, my history, my interests, my gender (or lack thereof), my sexuality, etc.
The only thing lacking from this formula was an artistic style I could 100% call my own. And I think I found it in this drawing! Who knew four years of indulgent Peter Lorre fan art and stylistic experiments could lead to that?
Anyways I have several more drawings in the works, and I’m super excited about them. Moral of the story: keep on drawing, doesn’t matter what or how indulgent, at a certain point you’ll come to incredibly interesting conclusions and fun artistic breakthroughs without having to punish yourself.
