Skate squad 🤘

So the are more slalom and quad skaters hanging out down at kardinia netball courts. One of the slalom guys tighened up my wheels for me when he noticed that the were loss. What a legend.

Fell over a couple of times. And both slalom guys showed me a few things that i hope will some how translate to the more figure skating side of things. The are similarities. But its also different at the same time.

After going skating quite a bit on rentals I decided I needed to get my own skates. If skating with roller skate rentals was anything like skating with ice skate rentals, I knew I wasn't getting a fair chance of becoming good at roller skating. The big question was skates or blades? Or perhaps something utterly different?

HappyFeet helped me and my dad get money together for me to buy these artistic inline blades. The brand of the bade is Snow White.

I took this picture right before I went to the rink to try them out on June 19th, 2011.

Skating on them for the first time was mind-blowing! I was doing loop jumps, flip jumps, waltz jumps, and toe loops! It was all so unbelievable and new to me that I was able to do all of these ice skating jumps on a roller rink.

I was opened up to a whole new world of skating. Artistic Inline Skating.
