He wasn’t really sure what had kept him up, tossing and turning, but it sucked. Okay, sure, he was used to this groggy, sleepless feeling. That didn’t mean he wanted it around now.
Besides, as much as he hated it, he’d promised some of the others that he’d join them for a festival, of all things. Had he not, Ene’d likely keep bugging him and messing with his files. In the end, he really didn’t have a choice in this decision. Guess he’d have to make the best of it.
That is, if he didn’t pass out in the middle of the sidewalk on his way there.
His shuffling steps faltered, hand shooting out in front of him as inertia took over and forced his face to meet the pavement. Shit! That hurts... But hey, the concrete felt much better than walking... Maybe he’d just lay here for a bit.
