Jamie -- or rather, Mr. Wylde (as his students usually address him) -- walked into the crowded cafe. At this time of night, all the students and teachers on campus were just looking for a place to unwind, and he wasn’t unlike any of them, but instead, he opted to bring work with him into the establishment. His apartment was too far into the city, and he had to submit these grades as soon as possible. Now if only he could find an empty outlet to plug his laptop in.
It took a few moments of awkwardly looking under tables and greeting some of his students before he finally found one -- and speaking of his students. “Oh, hello.” Shit, he forgot this girl’s name. He just knew she was in one of his science classes. “Um, is this seat taken? Do you mind if I use the outlet next to your table?” he asked, offering a kind smile to her.
"You and me, fireworks tonight. I'm not taking no for an answer."
“I was going to say lets go to the fireworks, Joe has this whole cook out planned.”
