The Lily and Earle M. Pilgrim Art Foundation legacy, as it was found upon transfer by Nadya Aswad, Personal Representative and Sara M. Johnson, Estate lawyer, Birchstone Moore, LLC. Flooded, underinsured by the Estate, works on paper and board, graphite, pastel, oils left by appraisers stacked against the wall on the floor beneath the source of the flood, the ceiling vent. Examined for treatment options by National Portrait Gallery conservators, none of these works could receive conservation treatment for their damages due to their media and support.
