Hello!
If you could be so kind to check out some of our jewelry, that would be awesome :) I would love to find some other artists-- whether it be jewelry making, painting, writing, music, anything! Just like this and I’ll follow you and maybe we can start a cool artsy friendship, hell yeah! Much love.

Better Than The Original?
So many artists nowadays are discovered on Youtube by recording covers of existing songs (better or worst - you decide). The greatest examples of this would be: Justin Bieber, Austin Mahone and Cody Simpson.
So its strange that this new trend has affected existing artists that are struggling in the limelight. Yet, would you guys agree that these up-to-date covers are better than the original?
For example - Did you know that Sia did a Madonna Cover of the song 'Oh Father' and the message spreads on into her newer music?
Madonna - Oh Father (Original): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvVvN0QvzTk
And did you know that Avril Lavigne sang a song that was passed on to Leona Lewis?
Leona Lewis - I will Be (Original): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8q6f4CvINE
Many more secrets will be spilled on this weeks show as I will be playing a variety of song covers. Tune in to NCBRadio this Sunday 5-7 pm to find out what the story are for these song covers and don't forget to send pop a tweet in my direction!

FEB 1 DEADLINE FOR NON-COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO MFA IN BERLIN AND NYC
Saw this press release and I thought my fellow tumblr artists might be interested.
Transart invites applications for the MFA Creative Practice. All admitted students who apply before the February 1 early deadline will be granted a two-year partial scholarship of $7,840.
We welcome your application if you: - are a working artist (in any field) who is committed to developing a vital and sustainable artistic practice, while continuing to work from your home studio, - want to add exhibitions, screenings, or performances of your work in Berlin and New York to your CV within the next two years, - like to work independently but want to benefit from year-round support, including individual faculty advising, crit groups, and online exchange — as well as one-on-one reviews with artists, curators and theorists, - are excited about the prospect of truly transforming your work in a multidisciplinary and international setting through annual 3-week summer residencies in Berlin and 1-week winter residencies in NYC.
Transart offers a unique low-residency experience in two of the most exciting creative cities in the world. Joining this program means becoming part of a network of faculty, students, and alumni who are distinctively collaborative, creative, and successful.
We will consider applications from students without a first degree who can show evidence of relevant professional experience. Students who have previous graduate-level coursework can apply credits towards advanced standing. Students who are interested in earning a practice-based PhD can apply for the fast-track after one-year on the MFA program.
Questions? Transart faculty member Michael Bowdidge would be happy to speak with you and put you in touch with other faculty, students and alumni. Just drop him a line at: [email protected] Or chat with Michael and director Klaus Knoll about the program, the opportunities it provides, the requirements to get in, financial aspects, anything you can think of.
