Happy Birthday to a talented, kind and stunning woman, @ditavonteese . There's a very small handful of people I admire and Dita is one of them. Seeing her perform a few weeks ago and then talking to her about cats after the show was the best birthday present for me and now here's to wishing her a wonderful birthday✨🖤✨ #ditavonteese #burlesque #artoftheteese Also, this entire cast was amazing and had me laughing and hollering all night!

Aren't you glad the weekend is practically upon us? Even working from the comforts of home, I still am! A full length shot of the green velvet dress I've shared a few pictures of before, shown with the Sunny Maple leaf crown. A lovely lady at the Dita #artoftheteese show in September told me this ensemble looked part Satine from Moulin Rouge, part wood elf/fairy, which was just my intention. :)  (at Toronto, Ontario)

I had a few ideas on what I wanted to wear for #artoftheteese (and to meet @ditavonteese herself!) but this outfit won the vote from close friends. I initially wanted to do a boystyle outfit but in hindsight I'm glad I didn't since it was so hot in the venue. . I wanted to wear the Dita Madame X longline bra I bought as a way to show support! I really mashed a bunch of stuff together...let's see if I can remember: . -overlay: #Sheglit @sheglit_official . . -longline bra: #madamexbra Madame X longline bra . . -skirt: @angelicpretty_official #angelicpretty . . -tights: #Abilletage . . -boots: #alexandermcqueen . . -necklace: Betsey Johnson #betseyjohnson . . -corset: @darkgardencorsetry . . -bag (not pictured): Vivienne Westwood . . This Sheglit overlay is such a versatile piece! It's one of my favorite pieces and I wear it often. And it was comforting to wear something I was familiar with since I was going a bit out of my comfort zone. . The bustier was a little loose in the back so I decided to edge it up a bit by adding my corset and then my corset belt over it to cinch it altogether. I thought the tights would be a nice callback to all the lacing and stuff I had to do. . This outfit is surprisingly comfortable, despite all the structured undergarments.
