Some of you may already know this, but as well as being an artist myself, I am also the Director of a nationally recognized juried fine art fair, Art on the Rocks. This last weekend we had our 58th Annual show. It was a stellar time. For me personally, I gain so much from getting to talk and see such fantastic artists & their works. Here is a picture of me awarding the Best of Show winner, Steven Olszewski, with one of his amazing hand built sculptures.

Art bomb number 3 has been placed within a rock wall of one of New Mexico's glorious canyons. This perfect spot is an art piece all its own. I'm not sure who will find this art first, the curious squirrel or someone with an eye to seek color where it may not normally belong. This piece is called Sparkler for Robin Williams because he believed that we were all given one spark of madness and that no matter what we must not lose that spark. So today, like many others I found pleasure in my madness...painting rocks to be hidden for others to find for no other reason than I like the thrill of not knowing if it will ever be found and the curiosity of what will happen if it is. Art bomb number 2 has just been carefully placed to be found by someone that notices the world around them. This sugar skull won't be found by those that walk watching their cell phones. He'll be found by the curious eye! As I walked away I couldn't help but wonder what would be the fate of the rock art...would it go forever unnoticed eventually covered in cob webs? That wouldn't matter after all, if it did. Would the sugar skull be found by someone that contributed to the art space too and placed their own art inside this tree? That would be wonderful, wouldn't it? Or would this sugar skull be as carefully collected as it was placed and taken home with the person that it belongs to? After all it was created to be found!
