Hello Creatives!

Today we'd like to share some memories during our time in February aka the National Arts Month in the Philippines, filled with art festivities! Laughs and Fun all around held by CAMVAS such as Film Fest with the theme "Kamusta Na Ka?" and Art Share 5.0, featuring 2 Cebu based artists, Ken Hensly and Golda King; Spreading creativity and joy to minds both young and old!

Art Share 5.0: Ken Hensly

Since it was the National Arts Month last February, CAMVAS held art activities and one of those is the Art Share program!

2 Great Artists were present during the fantastic Art Share 5.0 program at CIT-U. One of them was Ken Hensly.

A Cebu based artist from the Philippines. His creative process started as a child growing up in a family of fellow artists. His main source of influence comes from old comics, cartoons, anime and street design. His craft is 2 pronged, ranging from toons and parodies to surrealistic art marked by his keen sense of detail and deep thought.

Art Share 5.0: Golda King

Another artist present during the Art Share 5.0 of CAMVAS was Golda King.

Hailing from Cebu, she studied Fine Arts at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California and earned her Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2013.

King paints with the aim of remedying her doubts. The subjects are usually of bare faces in delicate compositions that echo a familiar stillness with blur and anonymity, her palette’s a blend of soft colors with hints of mystery and darkness or serenity and lightness. Her works also depicts her daily “visual daries” which are entries painted as abstracts to journal the artist’s personal views, encounters and experiences.

To King, painting is a process of self-awareness. “My works are a reconstruction of memories.”

Film Festival🎉

Do you like to watch films? I bet we all do!

Films are an effective approach to spread awareness, uplift the spirit, increase comprehension, reduce stress, and many more. That’s why last February, CAMVAS (a creative organization embodied by the Bachelor of Multimedia Art Students of CIT-University) held a film festival and an outdoor film screening, with the theme “Kamusta Na Ka?” in celebration of National Arts Month 2023 in the Philippines.
