It's not like its 3 feet off the ground stacked on cinderblocks and wood. Though despite this the dream of making comics and video games with my brother feel more real, even if it is a janky building it is our studio!.

So, I promised a #artstudiotour awhile ago. I’ve been waiting for the time when I felt it would look closer to what I envisioned. When it would be ‘good enough’ for people to actually want to see. I’ve watched so many really cool #studiotours and I wanted mine to be as inspiring as theirs. But… that would probably mean I’d never post one😅 so I’m just going to jump in it. I hit a cleaning period in the middle of my #projects, so I’m just going to do it now to avoid showing you the chaos which is my #creativeprocess. I was going to do a video but I overthought it which means I’d probably stumble over my words (which I hate doing😒). Studio tour! I’ve taken a wee break from teaching Zentangle classes (just for the summer), and one of my projects has been to get my creative workspace in order - so before I manage to mess it up again I thought I’d share a short video of my slightly reorganized (and hopefully more efficient) studio. It’s a bit of a mishmash of furniture, and still needs more (and better) lighting - basically it’s a work in progress (much like me), but I’m pretty happy with it for the time being!

Here are the results of Monday's poll. There are many different reasons for buying Art. The ones listed here are personal and this isn't even all of them. Some people may buy Art just because it's in one of their favorite colors. Others might buy because the imagery was of a type liked by a deceased love one that they wish to honor. Some may like a particular style of painting, drawing, sculpture, etc. There's a rather interesting list of financial reasons for buying Art also. As a collectible, it only appreciates, never depreciates. Some use it as a way to "park" funds during difficult times. Again, there are various scenarios and motivations. Ultimately, the reason is not as important as the actual act of buying Art. If you're thinking about doing it, don't hesitate. Just do it.
