New URL + Issues with Old One

Hey guys!

I mentioned this a while back, but I changed my URL from its previous incarnation, “artsycloudypard” to its current form, purple-paws. Since then, I’ve received word that someone else has been using my old URL for some fishy stuff and that it’s been showing up in their dashboard feed.

I apologize if that’s happened to anyone else. I definitely don’t want you guys to have to deal with that, so make sure you unfollow “artsycloudypard” and switch over to following my REAL blog, which is “purple-paws”.

Hello! I saw on the Sister Claire website that you and Yamino will be attending Anime Weekend Atlanta - will you be attending as guests or do you have a table at the Artist Alley? Will you have copies of Sister Claire available for purchase? I might be attending and I'd love to say hello to you awesome ladies :D

Hi there, dear heart!

We have a table!  I don’t have the number in front of me right now, but please do look for us in the Alley!  And while we will have some Sister Claire books available for purchase, try to come see us as early as you can, because we’re down to our very last box ever.

We’d dearly love to meet you!  If you can’t come to our table or to the convention in general, keep an eye on our social media for announcements about meetups we plan to do outside the con.  You can come chat with us over delicious food and bubble tea!

Yeah, it will be. Just got out of a personal thing that’s still affecting me, but it’s over and done now so things are looking up. <3

That sounds awesome!! I heard River Street has fireworks, but so does the beach!

Yeah, both of them have fireworks, I’ve heard. One on Friday and one Saturday. So I’m debating whether or not I want to hit both or just one. I mean either way I’m going to fireworks over the water because there is no other way to do fireworks if you have the choice of water or land. 

There were a couple other places doing like historical 4th of July stuff but I’m not sure I’ll be able to hit those because they cost money. Tho not a lot and it’s not every day you get to be somewhere that actually has a colonial history on the Fourth... I’m still debating with myself on that one

 Also you free to at least see fireworks either day or both days

Hi! I was wondering how you managed to get such bright colors on your toned paper sketches? I've been sketching with toned paper recently but whenever I try to color them digitally, it never works :0 thanks and have an awesome day!

aH, well, I’ve actually been coloring all of my toned paper pictures traditionally, so far! Mostly, though, I just been abusing the absoulute heck out of Instagram’s image editing features to make everything look a little bit nicer! Higher contrast/saturation and such uvu

I absolutely adore your recent post about the Senshi interacting with the FMA cast! I was especially intrigued by how the scouts would react to the Homunculi. How fantastic would it be if Envy tried (key word: "tried") to gain the upper hand by turning into one of the Senshi and trying to trick Usagi? Or worse, tried turning into Mamoru and tricking her? But Usagi's too smart for that. She may be a sweetheart but she'd see through the lie right away and then royally school Envy, senshi-style. :D

Yeah, I think if there’s one thing Usagi would recognize in later seasons, it’s someone impersonating a loved one in daily life.She is tuned in, knows her loved ones too well, and she can feel when it isn’t them. That’s a strength she has. She even recognized when Hotaru wasn’t Hotaru, and she didn’t know her that well.  She saw through the fake Mamoru in the Super S movie. Plus in the musical she was able to pick the real Mamoru out of a dozen clones.

I can imagine Envy imitating Rei and Usagi’s late or something similar and Envy’s like “don’t worry about it” and Usagi’s like “GASP WHO ARE YOU, YOU’RE NOT REI-CHAN”.  Busted.
