So Adam and Eve ate from the tree of good and bad. Before this we knew only what god told us and it was good, but because they ate from the tree now we know bad. What is bad you ask? Well bad is all things negative; Jealousy, Anger, Greed. And once you practice these things it tends to lead you to Arguing. Arguing is the number one reason for war. When you argue nothing good comes of it, either one person is mad or both are mad because they both think they are right. For example, if you use greed and say you are better then someone, someone will get jealous and say no i am better; and then there is your argument. See just like math negative plus a negative is just more negative. Now the world is corrupted and people do bad things to get rewarded. Peer pressure is the perfect example for this. You are with your friends and they want you to drink, have sex, or smoke; and because you love them you do it and they cheer you on. So we keep doing bad things because we know we will get rewarded by our peers. Think about it, you have now become a slave to your peer's happiness. You are not doing it for yourself, you are doing it for the reward. (2 Peter 2:19) "While they are promising them freedom, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for if anyone is overcome by someone, he is his slave."
