So ive been thinking about Avids Vampires SMP backstory.

So, something Avid(creator) loves to do is have unreliable narrators. Avid has said on stream, that he killed his partner, and the first episode immediately happened after. This man stabbed someone he loved, and ran for it. According to the intro animatic, he also grabbed the bloody stake from their body as well. Now, I have a question to ask everyone. Avid's intro animatic makes it look like the vampire turning happened behind him, that she attacked him immediately. However, there are things that dont add up. First off, her hunting gear on the wall. If they had just been bit, wouldn't they be coming home from a hunt? Wouldn't the gear be on them? So how would she have hung up the gear AND gotten back out of the room with a bitemark without Avid noticing, or turning quickly? We've seen from the person who got turned ep 1(not saying any vampire names bc this isn't what this is about but you know who) that turning is instant when all the bloods been drained(what i'm assuming killing them is.) Not only that, but this bit from Avid's Video. He was talking to Shelby, about what she would do if her dad was a vampire. Shelby asked if her dad would eat her if that was true, and then Avid spoke and said: "I mean he would remember you probably so like, he would probably be like 'Hey, I'm sorry you had to see me this way' would probably be how it goes. And then y'know 'Do you want to join me as a vampire', which clearly then you would say..." "No, you'd say No." That doesn't sound like a complete hypothetical. That doesn't sound like a immediate attack to his turning. If his partner hadnt said those things, if it happened like in the intro, wouldnt avid have said something like "they wont remember. He'd be overcome by his hunger and attack anything that held blood." But he didnt say that. Now that, that sounds like his partner tried to offer to turn Avid to me. Now, back to the unreliable narrator bit. The intro animatic shows It was an accident, she ran into the stake as he lifted it instinctually. As it pierced her heart by her own forward movement. Now, thats a pretty story, a nice thing to think about. Because then Avid had to kill them to save himself. It was either her or him. He had to survive. She would have wanted him to live. Because... he killed his partner. Stabbed them through the heart. And the only way thats even remotely okay is if its in self defence. So it has to be self defence. He cant think any differently, or else he will break.

And him saying vampires are monsters, need to be eradicated? Well, that also has to be true, or else she could have stayed alive. But shes dead, and he had to kill her, so they have to all be monsters.

They have to be, or at least thats the story he's telling himself

Like! wow i cannot wait to see where he takes it. I was scrolling the yt comments and saw someone mention that they wonder if the sculk was using apollo to connect to other universes and now im like. staring intensely. Because. this would help explain what the sculk is doing with Scientist Apollos experiments as well. We know from the video before this one that one apollo now has the ability to travel universes, or at least see them, not sure exactly what that orb can do. And now an Apollo has been sculked. An apollo that has been told that there are more of him out there. Im wondering if were going to see Sculk Apollo again. Because unless im misremembering, he made a deal with the sculk "You cant have this world, but you can have me." "Leave them alone, and you can have me." And we see the sculk is keeping its promise! Its not fighting back the cleanup efforts- but see Apollo didnt make it promise to not hurt any other worlds. Why would he? This is the one he cares about, with the people he cares about. But if the sculk can use Apollo to get between worlds... Well, now it has an Apollo. They are a dime a dozen, a connection between all worlds it seems. If it can use that connection, can pull its Apollo through to other worlds... whats giving up one world in the grand scheme of things? Its lost one world, and is now about to gain many more.

You are so right, I made sculked apollo, and im still writing that story by the way- its very fun! This was insane to wake up to and go to my tumblr and go 'what the fuck?? WHAT???' lmao, it was incredible I cannot wait to see if we see the ACU Sculked Apollo again though. I cannot wait to see what Apollo does with him. Will he be a boss of some sort, someone people try to save but a force that hunts them down, or will be be a martyr, something the sculk points at and laughs at the heros that try and stop it, because if an Apollo couldnt stop it, then what can?

Hello again! I have some questions about how the hive mind and the assimilation process works, as well as how much individuality the hive mind allows.

Also is it different from hive mind to hive mind? (ie, does RTgame's hive mind work differently from Legundo's apart from the bodyless thing?) Thanks <3

OUGH. ITS BEEN. TWO MONTHS. I AM SO SORRY

I saw this and went "Oh ill answer when im not on my phone" and then?? forgot. augh. okay! Answer time!! So! The assimilation depends on how Legundo, or 'Hive' myself and a friend have taken to calling him, does it. Normally, when hes trying to slowly meld them into the mind, the assimilation is slow, gradual. Like how you might slowly gain an accent if you live in a new place for long enough. If he needs to do it quick though? Its painful, sharp and urgent. Think of it as the difference between easing into a cold pool, and jumping into the pool. One is slow and gradually gets you used to it, but offers many opportunities to gtfo if you get scared. The other is quick and irreversible, you are unable to run, you are submersed.

The hivemind actually does allow individuality! The difference is that it doesn't *look* like individuality to those outside the hivemind. Sean will be different to Kiply who will be different to Shadow who is different to Grady, and so on and so forth. The main thing is that they dont *show* that individuality around others. Except for talking quirks or instinctual reactions, most individuality happens amongst other hivemind members, or in the Mind itself.

Course, Hive could *take* that individuality away, but he enjoys his people to be themselves. They are all his, and so they are all *like* him, but they are not *only* him.

And yes! It is different from hivemind to hivemind. But it also depends on the people.

RTGame is old, very old, and all of his people in his Mind are too. They are ancient, old, even the youngest is years upon years older than Legundo's people. They have been without a body for so long they do not quite remember what it is like to be mortal. That is why RT's hive do the 'feed' and why they are so weird when talking about other people or others Minds.

Legundo is young, and so are all of his people. Sure, he has a few far older people from his time in the North, but those are few and far between. None of them quite... fit, like his people do now.

Thats also a difference. Legundo *would* let his peoples souls go if they asked, and had reasoning.

RT has tried, and most of his cling on tightly.

Sometimes i sit here and go ‘Viking why’ or ‘Avid Why’ and then i remember that i am the EXACT same way when people yell at me about the stories i write and that how they act is exactly what i would do if i had fans and made videos.
