anyway the thing that makes me the most emotional about that preview I just reblogged is that the clips they use when talking about Matt no longer being Daredevil are all clips of Matt at Elektra’s funeral and grave

and when Matt finally picks up the Daredevil role again... it’s just in time to face Elektra who’s back from the dead and on the other side of this fight, at least to start

(I’m not saying that Matt’s entire identity as Daredevil is wrapped up in Elektra but like... holy shit you guys it kinda is??? and I’m really emotional about that????)

#I also have a lot of thoughts and feels about Elektra reigniting Matt's passion for fighting and training and using his senses like he does #as Daredevil #because that's always kind of been the underlying current of their relationship???#'I always spar best with you'#and Elektra being the only one who really understood Matt and understood his abilities and understood what he was capable of #because even though she wasn't blind she was capable of the same- and more #and I'm really emotional about a college Matt keeping up with his training more as a sense of routine than anything else #until Elektra comes along and yeah the spiral that ends with her trying to goad him into a killing a man before fleeing into the night is ba #is bad #but at the same time... you can't tell me that that spiral didn't also include Matt picking up his training again for real #because he had to be at the top of his form to spar with Elektra and once he felt that rush he never gave it up again even after she left #elektra gets her own tag #will liveblogs defenders #will liveblogs daredevil
