1. Do you have a favorite blanket? If so, what color?
- Yes, I do. It’s this very soft comforter that’s cream on one side with a light green vine design, and a slightly darker light green on the other.
2. What was your favorite boardgame as a child?
- LIFE. I loved that boardgame so, so much.
3. Titanic or The Notebook?
- Titanic, most definitely. I still remember the first time I ever saw it.
4. Who is the celebrity that is ruining your life?
- Currently Anton Zetterholm, thanks to a certain somebody I would rather not name *cough*Katy*cough*
5. ‘F is for-? (first thing that comes to mind)
- Oh, my God, please don’t judge me, but I had Netflix open on a different tab, so “F is for NetFlix.” *headdesk* *Anna fails basic spelling and grammar forever* *cries*
6. Favorite thing to drink?
- Ice-cold water on a hot day.
7. A book that is so bad you wish you hadn’t read it?
- I never finished it, but I did read the first chapter of Fifty Shades of Grey, and I still twitch violently when thinking about it.
9. How do you feel about musicals?
- Hahahahahaha. Ha. Hahahaha. Haha. HA. THEY RUINED MY LIFE AND I LIKED IT. Ha. *cries*
10. Have you ever been in love?
- Romantically? No, I don’t think so, but I did have a very serious crush that might have been love, but might also have been not. I’m not sure. I know I fell violently in love with God when I was eight years old, though, enough that I wanted to be a nun for the longest time (I’m Catholic). I fell in love with both my youngest siblings when they were born, the love-at-first-sight, heart-pounding-madly-in-my-chest, everything-is-different-now, my-life-will-always-be-infinitely-brighter kind of falling in love. I think that counts.
11. An actor/actress you wish you were related to?
- No one, really. I admire them from afar, but I don’t think I like any of them enough to let them into my family. (Besides, if I were related to some of them, it would be difficult to fangirl over them…)
1. You are exposed to a radioactive chemical and instantly gain a superpower! What is it?
- The ability to make anyone, anywhere, laugh.
2. What’s your favorite line from a book?
- “Just because you can explain it doesn't mean it's not still a miracle.” ― Terry Pratchett, Small Gods
3. You lose all but 1 of the 5 traditional senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch). What sense do you keep?
- Hearing. I love music too much, I love the sound of laughter too much, I love people’s voices too much to lose that.
4. Is there a fandom you are afraid of getting into?
- Doctor Who looks painful…
5. You travel back in time! Where are you 10 years ago?
- San Diego, my grandparents’ house.
6. Most embarrassing teenage crush?
- I was crazy for one of my middle school classmates all through high school, and I read my diary from that time period and cringe.
7. What skill/trait do you have that you are proudest of?
- All of my cousins on my mom’s side of the family went kite-flying at the cemetery where my grandmother is for her one-year death anniversary. I think that was the point we figured out we would all be alright.
9. What’s the best tasting food in the whole world?
- Dark chocolate with peanut butter and Oreos.
10. Name a celebrity you would like to be your brother/sister.
- None, I like my siblings way more than I like any celebrity, but if I had to choose…gaaaahhhh, I don’t know any of them well enough!!!!
11. What’s the one song that can perk you up on a bad day?
- Maybe by Kelly Clarkson
ohponthavemercy (like the name change, darling ;)):
1. Closest book to you, page 38, 4th sentence (If there aren’t 38 pages……what is this book):
- “Here, now, we forget each other and ourselves.” Line 10 of “Final Soliloquy of the Interior Paramour” by Wallace Stevens (look, it’s a poetry anthology—I’m an English major I am allowed!!!)
2. Last song you’ve listened to, favorite line:
- “Build That Wall (Zia’s Theme)” by Darren Korb. Favorite line: “So build that wall and build it strong ‘cause we’ll be there before too long.”
3. Quote that you could have tattooed into your skin, plastered on your forehead, written on your ceiling, you just want it that ingrained into your life:
- “Love is patient, love is kind.” Because people forget this so much of the time.
4. Last beverage you had:
5. If you could be any nail polish, what color would you be (think of some fantastically cheesy title for yourself, too)?
- I would be this very nice, deep, dark purple that looks nice in the light. I would be “Mountain Majesty.” (If this is an actual color—probably is, I stole it from “America, the Beautiful,” somebody’s got to have used it—I apologize.) :DDD
6. The zombie apocalypse is happening right now and your only weapons are the last three items you’ve touched (your laptop/mobile device and whatever you’re sitting on does not count). Will you survive (bonus points if you say how)?
- …I just touched a poetry anthology, an electric fan, and a door knob. I would not survive, but I would die a semi-comfortable death, so long as the fan was working and I had light to read by before the zombies ate me.
7. Literature: classic or modern?
- Ooooooh. Modern, because all my favorite authors are sci-fi and fantasy, and I like classic, but if I had to live on nothing but epics and mythology and Victorian literature…okay, I would be happy, too, but I’d be happier with some Harry Potter…
- Neither. I’m pretty technologically inept and I really don’t see the point on spending money on either of these products, especially since texting or calling is not my preferred method of communications.
9. If you could be any piece of furniture, what would you be?
- I would be a plush couch that comfortable seats six and can recline and turn into a bed (basically, my family’s favorite piece of furniture. We love that thing.)
10. If you were to be written into any piece of fiction, what would it be?
- GODDAMMIT. Uhhhhhh…uhhhhhhh…uhhhhhhhhh…forget it, I really want to live in Martha Wells’s Books of the Raksura and be a mentor and write books, or maybe a mentor and fly.
11. You’re going into exile on a deserted island (I don’t know what you did, don’t question it). You are allowed to bring one person and three items. What and who are you taking?
- My laptop, my library (shut up, that’s one whole thing), and a sleeping bag. My brother, PokerFace. Yeah, we’re gonna die, but we’ll go out happily.
