♡ a little drabble about sebastian with a reader with adhd absolutely written for myself lmao. sfw, gn!reader (no pronouns or anatomy specified), sebastian and reader are implied to be married (they live on the farm together), reader is hyperfocused ♡
Sebastian watched you fondly from the porch while sipping his coffee. The sun had barely risen yet you were bursting with energy, already making a dent in your daily chores. From his spot he watched you begin to harvest crops for a few minutes. You worked quickly and methodically, evidence of your years in the valley and experience in farming. Sebastian knew how to farm but very rarely did you accept his help with the tasks when you were hyperfocused like you were now. While detaching a cauliflower from its root you stopped randomly before popping up from your squatting position. You ran to the chest near your front door and fished around until you found your watering can. Before he could blink you were dashing to your cat’s bowl near the edge of the farm to fill it. The little black cat lazily blinked up at you, making you stop in your tracks to pet it.
He knew you well enough to know by now you’d forgotten about harvesting crops for the time being; now you had moved onto caring for the livestock. His eyes closed, the sound of you opening and closing the doors to the coop and barn as you popped in and out relaxing him. He probably would’ve fallen asleep had you not walked past him. Your brows furrowed as you froze deep in thought; he could practically see the gears turning in your head.
“Harvesting?” You jumped slightly, forgetting he was there due to your focus but you recovered and nodded. “You’ll need this.” He handed you the scythe that was leaning against the wall next to the front door. You jogged up the porch stairs to give him a kiss as thanks before resuming your tasks. The steam from the freshly brewed coffee wafted onto his face as he relaxed into the bench, happy to help you from the sidelines.
