the holiday season is soon approaching and that means the yearly ansong holiday market is upon us!

downtown ansong is dressed up beautifully just in time for the upcoming holiday season! stores and buildings are decorated with lights, garlands, poinsettia's and snowflakes galore and some places even have mini decorated pine trees placed in their window displays. and, if you listen closely, you can hear holiday music playing wherever you go.

in the heart of downtown ansong is where the holiday market takes place. held every year in the month of december, the holiday market serves as downtown ansong's place to be for seasonal gifts, various food, and other holiday themed things to explore and enjoy. this year the market takes place between december 9th until december 15th.

with free entry to all residents, it is one of the premier events that many look forward to during the month. open from 10am to 10pm, people are free to drop by whenever they like to enjoy the market and all it has to offer.

some things to do around the holiday market are:

visit the outdoor ice skating rink right in the center of downtown! rental ice skates are available for residents to use, or even bring your own!

visit the various food stalls that are selling seasonal winter street foods and drinks (including hot chocolate) sponsored by local shops and residents!

build snowmen in our mini winter wonderland area! enter the 'best snowman' contest to possibly win a prize!

enjoy live entertainment by local artists who will be playing various types of music, including seasonal and christmas tunes!

enjoy the winter parade held on the 14th that runs from 5pm to 6pm!

visit the seasonal photobooth & visit various picture areas around the market that has props and other items available to get that perfect winter season snapshot!

come explore the various seasonal light shows & witness the tree lighting ceremony on december 9th at 8pm!

take a stroll through the winter art walk hosted by infinite impressions that showcases various winter themed-art created by our very own local artists!

and, of course, come buy & sell your various seasonal goods at the holiday market! from christmas trees, custom snow globes, ornaments, and more, there is a little bit of everything for everyone!

PART TWO — SNOWED IN?!

the snow seems to be piling up... with no end in sight. a weather report will be addressing the concerns of many residents at 5pm on the local news. more info to come in the upcoming week!

the second part is a mini-event that will involve lots of snow, the residents of the jeoseung apartment complex, and some questionable weather conditions that cause some... issues regarding the building. this will place muses together in pairs to deal with a mildly precarious situation that we hope will help foster new connections!

just like the main event, this is optional to members and will take place on december 26th & 27th in character but runs between december 20th until january 3rd at 11:59pm est out of character. full details regarding the mini-event will be posted on december 20th @ 10 am est!

come one, come all, to enjoy the fall fun at the annual ansong fall carnival!

held every year towards the end of october, many residents are not only excited for halloween, but for the fun that the carnival brings. hosted in the central park, just like always, it lasts for a week, with it falling between october 24th to the 31st this year.

after a week of being shut down in preparation, the park is now re-open to the public, showcasing tents, booths, rides and other attractions! the entry fee is cheap and seven day passes are available at the front kiosk for those who wish to purchase it! the carnival is open every weekday from 10am until 9pm, and every weekend from 10am until 10pm. on halloween it is open from 11am to midnight.

some things to do around the carnival is:

enjoy various seasonal foods, drinks and more at food stalls and booths, sponsored by the local shops and residents!

hop on to different rides and visit different attractions, including the gyro drop, bumper cars, the hall of mirrors, photobooths, the ferris wheel, house of horrors, and more!

plenty fun games to play, including water gun shooting, ring toss, rope ladder climbs, ring the bell, and more!

there will also be jack o' lantern carving, apple bobbing, and a spooky maze tour to explore!

firework shows will be held every night after 8pm and live music performances will be held on monday's, thursdays and saturdays from 11am until 7pm.

on the 31st fright night will be in full effect where scare actors will be walking around the grounds to spook residents. a costume contest will be held that all can enter, with cash prizes and other goodies to be won for the best ones!

"welcome to ansong evening news, live at 5! this is seo yumi with an updated, urgent weather report. currently, we are seeing steady snowfall that will be picking up sometime this late evening. we currently predict that the snowfall will increase overnight and project there to be roughly over two feet of snow by 8am tomorrow morning. visibility will also be greatly affected, so we advise all residents to be careful while driving on the roads, as wind gusts could pick up and drop the temperature down at least five degrees. we advise any and all residents who are currently out and about to prepare for this uptick in snowfall and to try to stay indoors before late this evening to avoid the worst of the snowfall. we will keep you updated as it progresses, but for now please stay safe, warm, and keep those shovels on standby!"

the next morning, many residents will notice there is a true winter wonderland outside their building. so much so that they can't seem to leave their apartment building. the doors are blocked by heavy snow, and the heating seems to be a bit spotty which leaves many residents cold and unable to do much but stay put in their apartments.
