Wrapping up Blade of the Immortal's prison break arc...

I got to the end of a chapter, saw this person, went Huh? turned the page and saw the mask... realised who he was just a hair before Rin did.

Oh honey. Oh my poor boy. The severed limb is really the least unsettling thing about this scene.

She looks so very staunch and heroic there. Should I deduct points because she caused all the the flooding herself?

Yeah. Yeah, I think those two deserve a quiet lie-down and some repressed victorian clinching...

I think my only odd head cannon for anime is that assclass and blade of the immortal take place in the same universe

Bc like blade takes place in Edo and kaga (old Japan) and assclass takes place in Tokyo n stuff

And the surname Asano is used in both

Rin Asano in blade of the immortal as our female protagonist

And

Gaksuhū Asano in assclass as a male antagonist

Seeing as it's cannon that Rin had at least two sons who had children it's pretty feasible that she's Gaksuhū's relative.

Even though it's highly uncommon for the girls surname to be passed down instead of the guy's we know that Rin kept hers to carry on the Asano name to start a new sword school.

Also who says that Manji's bloodworms aren't connected to Koro sensei?
