War wasn’t anything new here, and neither were monsters.
Even after the fall of Hades, a few straggling demons would show their faces in places where they shouldn’t be--- and that was good for the people who made money off of them.
Like Magnus, who happened to be one of the most prized bounty hunters this side of Greece. It almost seemed like nothing could take him down.
But while he’d been dealing with three monsters on one side of him, he must’ve not realised that another, larger one had started moving towards his position, and he was hit in the back by it’s club, sending him sprawling forward and onto his knees in a daze. His eyes locked on the ground, trying to get his breath back. The pain in his spine would come to bite him later, but he knew he couldn’t stay down.
So he pushed himself back up to his feet with a determined grunt, and raised his sword with a... somewhat-pained grunt. Regardless, he went right back into the throes of fighting. Two of the three original monsters had gone down easily, he just needed to finish-off the rest.
He knew he’d be able to do it... but all the stress on his back would leave him hurting, later.
Little did he know, though, a particularly-skilled guardian angel would be coming by him at any moment...
