The air was far too heavy for her tastes. Thick, overwhelming. The stench carried with it the smell of lowlifes; cigars and speeder fuel. Her nose wrinkled, eyes on the verge of watering. It had been her personal decision to refuse the imperial transport, to explore the reaches of this shantytown labyrinth.

The spires of Dromund Kaas were a luxury compared to whatever this was.

In the hour she had stepped off the spaceport, she’d been subjected to an attempted mugging (one lightsabre to the gut later), three beggars and a drunkard’s vomit outside the walls of peeling cantina. She prided herself on refuting the high-born snobbery of the other sith, but even now it was hard to resist the urge to turn up her nose, brandish her sabers and tear off the cloak to reveal her identity so that they all may stay out of her way.

At long last she succumbed to her desire to rid herself of this place. With a heavy sigh, she moved towards a taxi station on the outskirts of the sector, glaring at those who would look at her for a moment too long, orange eyes flicking underneath her hood.

“I don’t have time for this,” she spat, already moving away from the officer. “My lord, it’s necessary—” “I will not deal with another overgrown slug. I don’t care what your ‘diplomatic relations’ says. I need that agent, and if you can’t tell me where he is then I’ll find another who shall.” “My lord, please! He’s off the grid, and his dealings with the Hutts are by far the most reliable means of tracking him—”

Her fingers danced over the hilt of one of her sabers; debating whether or not another show of brute force was necessary. But even that was enough for the officer, whose voice faltered and eyes darted away.

“Yes, my lord. I shall send for someone to gather the information you require.” “That my master requires,” she hissed, reminding him of the weight of her mission.

“Noted.”

He ducked into an adjacent room, out of her sight, thankfully. 

She wasn’t made for diplomacy.

It’s about time my sith warrior got a bit of a facelift since her last reference. Lord Wrath, known as “Ascora” to few and as the former to many. 

An odd combination of a rich sith heritage and a brief affair with an alien that blossomed into love, the firstborn of the Maos family is both shunned and feared, depending on who you ask.

Gonna do a little portrait series of my canon eight! Starting out with my half-sister sith mains, Ascora (Sith Marauder; sith pureblood/togruta mix if anyone’s wondering about the facial spikes) and Osha’na (Sith Assassin; togruta).

You’ve probably noticed Ascora’s gotten some scars since her last revamp - figured I’d detail them properly, especially given that this week’s Discord prompt was “scars.” ⚡ 

They originally started out as random placement, but I thought more about specific causes when planning this out, alongside a few new additions now that I’ve started getting her through post-class story expansions. 🤔

three disaster half-siblings

Kasha was born to Siran Ke’ed and Toza Za. Toza died shortly after his birth, and Siran took another husband by the name of Kynn Ke’ed. They have several children, most notably Yoshaka. After a sith raid on their settlement during a hunting trip, Kasha and Kynn are left believing they are the last remaining family members alive. Yoshaka’s complacency and obedience leaves her alive but sold into slavery alongside her mother. They both part ways at Nar Shadda, where Siran is sold.

Remaining in slavery for almost another 15 years, Yoshaka is taken into Sith training after an incident concerning a slave master and the explosive effects of sith lightning. Unbeknownst to her, Siran’s exploits on Nar Shadda had landed her in the favour of a Sith Lord and within the past decade, she has earned both her freedom, and gained a place amongst Imperial society, delivering a child with a Lord Taral Maos. She is given the name “Ascora,” and despite her half-togruta birth, is considered a prodigy by the end of her first decade. Her ascent into the sith academy is pushed forward by a family friend and influential headmaster of the academy, Overseer Tremel.

Meanwhile, after a stint on Shili, Kasha is forced to flee in his father’s ship. Taking the new name “Kavran” he looks into small-scale spice dealing operations, taking whatever credits he can scrounge. He spends the next five years developing an amateur reputation within smuggling circles, before being grounded on Ord Mantell due to growing tensions between Republic forces and Separatists and the machinations of a certain individual named Skavak.
