so i'm tentatively putting my feelers out in the world to see if i can get an adult autism screening/potentially some accomodations for work (in my head i think that if my job knows i'm autistic it'll give me some fuckin peace of mind to stop freaking out about messing up tone in an email) but starting that process has really started to freak me out bc its really hard and there are like, maybe 3 whole adult autism providers in the entirety of new jersey and only one of them take private insurance

so i wanted to write this and ask if anyone had any experiences in getting an adult autism screening, what you did to prepare for that and whether or not getting officially diagnosed helped you at all bc i'm losing my momentum quickly and very much think that hearing from others will help keep me going
