dude this show is awesome
it's easy for me to forget that conan is actually 17 years old and grown up and isn't just some really smart and precocious child pretending to be dumb. 99% of the time shinichi only appears in the OPs and EDs and occasionally ran's hallucinations/flashbacks. shinichi just constantly haunts the narrative. at times it does feel like they're separate people even though that's not true.
but then the anime forcibly reminds me that, yes, shinichi = conan. and yes, shinichi wears that stupid ass ugly ass dorky ass poindexter ass nerd i want to shove in a locker ass big ass bowtie and doesn't feel ANY embarrassment toward it. and that just pisses me off. we have loss the impact of shame in our society.
i hope conan can still stay friends with the detective boys even after he gets his body back
they're always so cute together...having such dumb childish fun. i couldn't bear it if they stopped hanging out.
please always.... be friends.......always be.....the detective boys...
i dont know when the right time to watch the movies and OVAs or any other supplementary material that might exist are so i basically havent touched any of them them.
with the exception of OVA 9. i've watched OVA 9 just a little.
because how can i not
i do enjoy how tragic it is, because it seriously is tragic. but also an official grow up conan is moe to the max it's hard to think about anything else
it's ultimately a "bad ending" universe and it's just so interesting that i'm glad it was officially explored to some extent. even if it's an inconsequential non-canon OVA.
i would love to see how conan and ai wouldve grown up again with the detective boys.
and seeing shinichi slowly and slowly disappear and there being nothing anyone can do about it. conan carrying the memories and experiences of a man that doesn't exist anymore. seeing how the world would carry on without him through the lens of someone else.
what a terrible fate. it's been bouncing around in my head.
these guys are seriously so cute... i wonder if conan offered to teach them how to play or if they just asked him to cus he's good at it. either way, he seems to be genuinely excited.
i'm glad it's recognized in canon that heiji cannot function without mentioning kudo every 10 seconds that kazuha thinks this Kudo is a romantic rival
it's delightful that the first thing conan does when he sees something that's suspected to be cocaina is touch it
hattori being in the middle of cracking a secret message but the moment he realizes kudo is on the other line he's like OIII KUDOOO COME TO OSAKA LET'S GO ON A DATE
