“There’s several hundred bones, Ephi,” Leorio says with a sigh. He runs a hand back through his hair, wondering if it’s the studying that’s fried his brain or if it’s something else. “At this point, I don’t think there’s any I don’t know--”
With a start that releases his book from his hand, he realizes just what Ephi could be implying. Cheeks flushed, he tries to look Ephi in the eye and maintain his composure.
“Uh,” Leorio says intelligently, as he quickly retrieves his text from the floor. “That’s... What...?”
He hates how flustered he’s become, but in his defense, this side of Ephi isn’t one he knows well.
