Well, that’s horrifying. It took considerable effort for Clarisse to not back away, or snarl something insulting, but she managed a hesitant return smile.

Nyx apparently liking her was an unexpected piece of news. She hadn’t got that impression from the goddess (or any kind of impression, really). Hopefully, that didn’t mean she’d have to have tea with her again. That woman was scary. 

“No, um...Sir, I wasn’t aware it would be appreciated. But next time I’ll be sure to bring some!” She said, apparently making an effort to be polite for once.

Random Starter for @mute-seer

Somehow, between leaving the house and getting to the market, the mouse had gotten lost. Utterly, completely lost., She absent-mindedly wandered through unfamilar streets, unworried - she had all the time in the world, and it wasn’t as if someone could attack her. She’d knock them out in an instant!

But then she heard a low meow from someone’s garden wall and she froze, blue eyes locking onto the cat. 

“Waaah! It’s gonna eat me, it’s gonna eat me!” She wailed, running away as fast as her short legs could carry her. Only to run into...Was that a tree?!

No, it was a man, she was fairly certain, though Yamane had never met such a tall man. Then again, she had spent most of her time either asleep or in the Abyss, so it wasn’t much of a surprise that she was a unaware of human types. 

She nervously tugged at her collar, blue eyes wide. “There’s a cat! You gotta run away!”

Kou gets to be the first person Ephi will wrap in his new blanket. Because it's so very soft & he wants Kou to be happy, too.

     small noises that originate from surprise turn into delight when he’s enveloped in soft fabric, a loss of balance making him stumble a couple of steps backwards. kou turns to see the other’s face and he purposely leans back into him with ease this time as a smile claims delicate features. 

     lips are pressed against ephi’s cheeks just because he’s within reach and starts gently pushing him at the shoulders to tilt him over so he falls onto the couch behind them. 

     “whoops, sorry.” he exclaims, not sounding the least apologetic but rather teasing. and he proceeds to pull up his legs from the floor, settling on ephi’s lap with feet resting on the couch across the male. “so. do you like the blanket? i thought it was a good pick.”

Once again, Clarisse had invaded Ephi’s home (and couch). For someone who hated him, she sure was finding her way to his private living space often. 

She was pretty much half asleep as she stretched out on his couch, struggling to get through a huge, boring book that was just making her more sleepy. She was relaxed and almost happy - and then thunder rumbled in the distance. 

Immediately, she tensed up, discarding her book to cling to the daimon, violet eyes wide. “The weather forecast said it was going to be sunny!” She complained, with a slight whimper. She was shaking, and visibly flinched at another thunderclap. Could it be...She’s scared of thunder?

 Violet eyes wide as the vampire tried to process the glimpse she had caught as she (possibly  breaking a window on the way in) entered. The glimpse of her husband without a shirt. 

After a heartbeat, she dismissed it, filing the piece of information away for later investigation (would be mind terribly if she were to touch…?). 

 "Is it? I thought it was where you don’t have to wear a bra.“ A snide comment there, with a mischievous smirk. This is why no one likes Clarisse.

“There’s several hundred bones, Ephi,” Leorio says with a sigh. He runs a hand back through his hair, wondering if it’s the studying that’s fried his brain or if it’s something else. “At this point, I don’t think there’s any I don’t know--”

With a start that releases his book from his hand, he realizes just what Ephi could be implying. Cheeks flushed, he tries to look Ephi in the eye and maintain his composure.

“Uh,” Leorio says intelligently, as he quickly retrieves his text from the floor. “That’s... What...?”

He hates how flustered he’s become, but in his defense, this side of Ephi isn’t one he knows well.

The corners of Arshia’s lipped twitched, as if her face were unsure what expression to go with. “I’m familiar with the circumstance.” She folded her arms across her chest. “Not a fun one in any case. I’ve got some towels upstairs, or a spare room if you’re referring to a different kind of frustration.” She disappeared up the stairs, only to return a moment later with a few surprisingly large, fluffy-looking towels, which she placed neatly on the counter.
