Spending a week with these guys was so good (Pretend A Secret Death are in this photo as well). Meeting Norma Jean, a band that I loved from when I was a young kid and having them be some of the nicest guys ever was amazing. Not to mention how welcoming the Vanna and A Secret Death dudes were. Hanging around all these guys for a few days made it feel like I had known some of them for a lot longer. And last but not least, the almighty Safe Hands, until the SE Asia tour I had met these guys a handful of times but after all this travelling I feel I have made friends for life. 

What a great week.

A few friends of mine were in a band called A Secret Death, or asecretdeath or whatever the fuck. Every release was at least a few steps ahead of most other Australian hardcore releases at the time. Fear Is The Driving Force is one of the best things to come out of Australia, period. Anyway, it looks like they're writing new music, which is awesome. I'm not sure what the lineup is going to look like, but I think Jacob and Loukas are maybe-definitely doing it. So if you like excellent chaotic hardcore like Botch or Converge mixed with excellent Swedish style ambient metal, like Cult Of Luna or Breach, follow them on Facebook for updates... here.
