What do you get when you combine a booming chorus, atmospheric guitar riffs and ethereal lyrics tinged with just a hint of British wit? Most UK indie bands. Ok fair, you have a point. But sometimes something emerges out of the ether and punches you right in the gut, and while you may find the songs a little familiar at first, sometimes there is something there that makes you stop and reconsider. For whatever reason, As Elephants Are has come along and smacked me in the lady gut and I like it.
BBC 1 is already all up in their business over on the Queens soil, so its only a matter of time before their US takeover kicks into high gear. So ladies and gentleworms, you heard it here first.
