i actually felt ILL whenever they called each other "usul" or "stil" ... like YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND I'M SOOOO--just.
whenever stilgar calls paul 'Usul' ... it is paul’s sietch name also used by others, yet whenever stilgar says it you can feel the tenderness, the worship, the reverence he has for paul. and even though it is not a name exclusively for stilgar’s use, it feels so deep and personal between them. Muad’Dib is just that--Muad’Dib. everyone calls him Muad’Dib but stilgar calling him “Usul” brings them so much closer together. stilgar is implying, “You are my god yet you are also one of my own. Just as you take care of me, I shall take care of you.”

I CAN FEEL IT THROUGH THE PAGES. and i think calling it 'loyalty' is also so !!!#the student becomes the master and in this case paul is still ever so loyal to stilgar#am i delusional.#IS IT CRAZY THAT I WANT THEM TO KISS?
