@bladesheart // elf.
She immediately flared her nostril at the other, trying to figure out exactly what she was trying to say. Was she going to say something about the princes? About the late king?
She betrayed Callum, the one human thing Rayla seemed to care most about. She wanted Claudia to feel the same pain Callum felt.
“He’s never going to trust you again.” she finally spat.
The elf’s venomous words do not miss the mark; Claudia winces, knowing there is truth to that claim. He likely hates her already --- the mage scoffs at own thoughts, certain that likely is just an euphemism. It had been evident enough in Callum’s eyes, in spite that colored his words as he accused her of having taught him that spell. Her kind of magic; dark and drenched in death.
She had been too worried about his hurting himself to mind his loathing, too preoccupied with the dragon, and then there was nothing on her mind but Soren. The more time passed, the more it bothered her, guilt gnawing at her insides as much hurt. Claudia had had her chance to speak to Ezran, to make peace; not with Callum.
It would not be as simple with him, either.
“That isn’t for you to decide.” Claudia feels less certain than she sounds. Easy to act so confident in front of the elf, to act aggressive, antagonistic; most natural, too. She couldn’t see Rayla as more than an enemy, even now. “Where is Callum?”
