Making of an underswap pt 1: early sketches
This will be a boring mostly just the widely accepted swaps take... Chara is very shrimple and BORING. Let us move on from mentally scarred children and step it up to mentally scarred adults.
For those listening in at home, Asgore is round and edgeless while toriel is angular and sharp and threatening; further achieved by giving toriel armor that is somewhat inspired by Japanese Great Armor. Also some detail is in the crown: monster to the left, delta rune in centre, human to the right.
Lorewise: King exiled himself after realizing that he restarted the human-monster war in a fit of rage after losing both the adopted human and monster children in a single night. Toriel is ready to finish the job, however. The eighth is accompanied by the spirit of Frisk, the first fallen human. Perhaps i will redesign asgore's robes later to be more in line with Toriel, at least regional aesthetic-wise, but for now I am happy with this. I am somewhat certain that asgore's fit will be blue/white and toriel's would be red/gold. Not seen due to lack of coloring, but Chara's shirt is white and their vest is in the canon colors. This is yet another ghostslop au: frisk will be visible to Chara and potentially other ghosts (not decided yet). There is so much more to show you.
