Have some electrical plane guts!
The planes got me playing some messed up version of Twister and sorcery with tools to fix them :'))

Paul the 727 lives!! And he is LOUD!! 😁🥰💕💕💕
Well we at least got his APU to fire up and power the electrical switches to the hydraulics. He's had a hydraulic leak from around the horizontal stabilizer :o
So shutting off fluid to that area fixed that. Here's what some of the plumbing looks like in the left rear portion of the fuselage. This is between the aft stairway of the 727. C:
Nose strut on the museum flogger jet is in need some tlc. Filthy birdie, probably 50 years of plane crust 😆
Digging thru older photos rn and found this one me and my moms got the Ultra Pup home, but not before stopping at micky deez for chickey nuggies. :]
We had to modd her trailer to fit the plane and used every bit of rope and ratchet straps we could find to secure it and the surviving wing.
I'm trying to get better at welding so I can get this little guy flying again. Needs a lot of replacement tubing under the fabric skin due to some heavy rust. :']

Amazing the seals on this thing are still good after sitting a few years. It sure is nice to hear Paul the 727 awake again. He's a good plane. 🥰💕
Paul the 727 is steadily getting a makeover. Cleaning up some corrosion and replaced the old hydraulic fluid melted paint. c:

She beat me up today, but that was my fault. I still think she's amazing 🥰💕
Poor old bird's long from being airworthy again. Tho I hear her assembly line sister is a few cities over and almost done getting restored to flying condition!
I wish I could help do the same, this old plane meant a lot to younger me since I used to help keep it pretty for the airshows and I even helped rebuild her rudder after she foughtoff a tornado(lol same rudder that conked me today! 🤣). That set me on my course to pursue aviation maintenance and helped me gain an appreciation for old aircraft. Plus after (or during 😅) school some days I used to hang out under her wings and just sketch away while waiting for my ride :3
Got this magneto at the airshow swap shop back in April to practice taking apart and inspecting. It's suspiciously.. clean/new inside for a $10 mag! Brand new/overhauled, these are easily about 120 Xs that. Thinkin since there was only 1 for sale there I'm guessing the pilot upgraded one of their magnetos to one of the new electronic type (tho common on cars now, the tech still in it's baby stages in aviation, so the FAA requires 1 of the 2 mags planes have installed to still be the old, time proven mechanical type).
Tempted to attempt to see if it'll run with a socket attached to my drill. If it does I may see if it can be compatible with the Ultra Pup. It's like 8 pounds lighter than the tractor magneto the Ultra Pup came with.
