she prefers summer! winter is gloomy, and her feet get all cold. but she likes certain parts of it, the landscapes, snuggling up to campfires and especially snowball fights!
Pyro: What makes them absolutely livid?
people mistreating animals or other people. the ignorance and racism she had to endure in orlais, or just being narrow minded in general, she’s very curious and open minded herself. it might not make her “livid” but it definitely makes her upset, especially if people dismiss her because of it. also people who cannot take a joke, again it might not make her “livid” (its such a strong word? lol) but she’s a prankster, and enjoys a good joke at times. also authority figures, especially if they are unfair or cruel, but she also doesnt like to be bossed around (she tends to do what she wants anyway!)
Congrats on the nomination! Okay, so my question is - how do you think the members of Team RAIN reacted to each other when they first became a team? Were any of them disappointed at who they ended up on a team with?
This is something I’d like to maybe tackle someday, in the form of a fic or a short comic.
Robin was most likely extremely excited, coming off the back of a rather lonely part of her life. She would’ve made a lot of effort to make friends with the other three members of the Team and help them as much as possible.
Akane likely resisted Robin, but did admire her skill early on regardless of their attitude. She probably had ideas of who she would’ve liked to be teamed up with before the initiation and was 100% disappointed by her Team but didn’t blame them for it (except for Robin... a little bit).
I think Irving kinda just rolled with it, but considering his partner was Nyssa he likely put a lot of effort into helping her out and this is possibly what initiated her crush on him.
Nyssa had an “if I say nothing they won’t notice me” so she was very quiet and tried to hide from the others. It took a while for them to persuade Nyssa to join in and act as an equal, but she still thinks she’s inadequate compared to them.
Don't know if you're still taking these but how about 6 for Team COPR and an additional 3, 4, and 5 for Raleigh?

6: How they explain their feelings (sorrow, anger, love, etc.)
If it wasn’t common knowledge, Concordia is Otso’s ex-wife and the grandmother of Blanche - and Blanche gets a lot from the maternal side of the family. Concordia is very much the model Atlesian, cold, calculating, straight forward and brutally honest. Anything she explains comes in an almost condescending, monotonous tone.
Similar to his ex, Otso is very blunt. I suppose it comes from being jaded, past your prime and seeing a failing career. He internalises sorrow, love and fear, but his anger is quite easily vented. He spends a lot of time growling and hunched over - trying and failing to contain his anger. He’s got an explosive personality, so things can quickly turn ugly.
Out of COPR, Priscilla is best at conveying emotion. I imagine that she stepped away from being a Huntress after having kids (maybe became a teacher at Signal/Sanctum/Haven/Shade etc?). Making the decision to move away from that career before her physical fitness forced it leaves her better adjusted and she doesn’t have to admit she’s past her prime or anything which the others probably find depressing.
Like Concordia and Otso, Raleigh is also very poor at explaining emotion. He’s very emotionless aside from when frustrated, and spends a lot of time internalising his feelings through chronic alcoholism since his marriage fell apart.
3: Their smile when they see someone they love.
Raleigh doesn’t smile much these days - considering his marriage fell apart - but when he was younger he probably had a warm, closed-mouth smile that he only really shared with his wife or his family; those really close to him.
4: Their polite laughter after a not-so-funny joke.
He probably doesn’t even humour it - if anything, it’d be a single, blatantly sarcastic “Ha.”
5: How they feel after finding out someone lied to them.
I imagine he’d sort of anticipate it, shoulders sinking and looking away with a long exhale of disappointment. If he feels particularly betrayed, he might slam his fist against a wall or table or something.
Woden Lincoln: I'd think that he probably caught bullying from Will as well, or at least caught some as collateral from Robin. With his injury, he probably took insults about being worthless or weak harder than she did, or if the injury came after the bullying, he felt like it validated the insults. The two combined took a pretty big toll on his self esteem, resulting in his withdrawn attitude. (1)

He probably got the harsher end of the bullying too. I suppose being a girl, Robin maybe got it slightly less and Woden got it worse because ‘boys will be boys’.
Plus Robin was always stronger than he was, and given how Lincoln lads are ‘supposed’ to be big and butch and brutish, he probably feels really out of place. Living in the dark ages like the Lincolns must do a number on his self esteem.
The result is that he tends towards self criticism, though it rarely ever spills out. He also tends to a few close friends, or maybe even just one, rather than larger friend groups. In friendships, or even just in general, he tends to do a lot of favors for people and tends towards selfless behavior because he feels like he has to make it up to them for tolerating him.
And given your comment about how close they were when they were younger, it’s likely his one friend was Robin. When she left, she pretty much cut off his one regular contact, one that was a constant for him through years of self inflicted solitude. With her gone, he withdraws even more. He still has perfunctory interactions with family, but he spends most of his time fiddling away with hobbies or just wasting time alone.
He’d try to keep in contact over scroll, but that would be just as bad as he sees her developing away from him into someone he doesn’t know, so he gradually stops. He tries to make new friends, but none can really compare to the depth he had with Robin, so they end up a bit one sided as they want to do stuff but he still regresses to the withdrawn mindset. He rarely goes out with them, keeping them distant because on some level he’s afraid they’ll leave too.
It’s quite a pitiful existence for the poor guy. In a way he could maybe end up bitter towards Robin, jealous of what she’s achieved and found without him, because they were ‘supposed to do everything together’ and she ‘left him behind’ for reasons we’re not yet aware of. But then again, she’s the only thing he has to hold on to by the sounds of things.
I really like all of this - you have a great handle on how characters’ thought processes develop over the course of a life and how they alter based on how others treat them. It’s almost more a psychological assessment!

Depending on the rest of the family, I could see him being the one person who still likes/respects Robin. He strikes me as a quiet intellectual, maybe someone who doesn't really jive with the rest of the family, but would rather just hide and avoid interaction than stir up a conflict.
I don’t think Robin had particularly poor relationships with anyone except Will, but everyone aside from Woden is probably ‘over’ her leaving now, which just serves to make him even more of an anomaly, I suppose... poor kid.

Dalu kinda hit what i was going for on the dot. He's the sort that doesnt speak often, but when he does, people listen. A intellectual, yes, and also a natural leader. Kind of where theyre leading Jaune in the story, minus the awkward and incompetent. Reserved, and preferring the indirect path. Not that he avoids conflict, but approaches it slowly, measured, and cautious. As for relation with robin, not exactly alter ego, but they balance each other out. Where robin is outgoing, woden is the more reserved, etc. Being twins and all. I imagine theirs is a more mutually unspoken relationship. Care and concern for one another. They have a passive synergy and an innate understanding of each other.

The others have kinda already covered what I was thinking. But yeah, I totally agree with the idea of him being a quiet intellectual. Not the sort of person who's very direct when it comes to conflict, but instead takes a sortofmeasured approach, going through the best plan of action in his mind before actually going through with it. I think in regards to friends he would probably befriend people of a similar disposition to him. As for his relationship with Robin, I think there's a definate mutual respect and understanding of each other, being twins and all. I do think he misses her a bit, since they were quite close as children, and honestly, probably would like to see her more often but gets that she's a lot more preoccupied nowadays.
Yeah, going on the previous suggestions, it seems like he doesn’t believe in himself but he does have skills. He’s not a fighter, but in trying to cope he’s developed decent strategic skills and would be a good leader if he had the confidence.
He probably feels like something is missing without Robin, too. They grew up together, they’re almost two halves of one whole - so he feels cripplingly alone without her.
Not really. She used to believe for a bit during her time with the cult, but that belief faded after she left. She’s been through a lot and finds it hard to believe there’s a God out there watching over people and letting them cause so much pain and destruction on themselves. That being said she’s not a strict atheist either. She does not oppose the idea of God as a whole, and maybe even secretly wishes there truly would be something / someone watching over the world.

“Kind, soft, a professional cat lady, with vivid imagination and a thing for music and art.”

Hmm, not really. She says ‘awww’ a lot though, and is a living embodiment of the :3 emoji.

John. Her cats, bad jokes [she will laugh at her own ones too, the dork], old sitcoms.
19. — Have they ever lost anyone close to them? How did it affect them?
She was bound to lose some friends and colleagues during the course of the game. The fact that some of those friends were members of Eden’s Gate, her former family, was making it even worse. She knew they were wrong and needed to be stopped and even though she killed only in self-defense, loosing people who used to be close to her what felt like a lifetime ago still had a huge physical strain on her.
20. — Do they have a fast reaction time, or slow?
She has usually quick reflexes, being rather good with bow and arrows, though she’s seldom reckless and tends to think everything through before getting to action.
