Malorn Ashthorn fell first.
Malorn met Ceren at orientation, and a cheerful greeting was all it took.
Ceren fell the hardest.
Lady Oriel asked Ceren why his boyfriend hadn't visited the hedge maze in a while, and that was when it clicked for Ceren.
Malorn was going to confess his feelings, but the same day Malistaire tore the Death School from Ravenwood. He never got the chance to try again as he was saddled with the temporary position of acting professor.
When Malorn realized he couldn't confess his feelings anymore due to the new power imbalance between them, he cried.
Malorn tried to tell himself it was for the best, but it started his resentment of the position.
Malorn helped sneak Ceren into Unicorn Way.
Malorn and Ceren's first date was a picnic in the Unicorn Way gazebo. Their classmates worked overtime to make sure they wouldn't be interrupted, because they deserved it.
The two are immensely cheesy, with pet names, relentless flirting, and constant pda.
When Malorn and Ceren had their first major fight as a couple, their classmates made plans on who would go with whom in the divorce. Malorn was annoyed. Ceren found it hysterical.
A contentious point between them was where they'd end up living after Ravenwood. Ceren wanted to stay in Unicorn Way, while Malorn wanted to leave Wizard City altogether.
They agreed on moving to Wysteria, and spending their summers in Unicorn Way.
Malorn was the one to confess.
Ceren was the one to propose.
The two invited all their former classmates to their wedding. Everyone showed up except for three: Wizard, Nolan, and Duncan. (Nolan went no contact after graduation, and Duncan got sucked into the Cabal by then.) The wizard sent a very expensive wedding gift, though.
The two have discussed adopting children, but decided to save it for later in life.
They have pets though. Ceren has a hummingbird named Orchid that perches on his staff, and Malorn has a whole hoard of hounds because he seems like a dog lover.
