[ ♒︎ ] – The barrier groaned under pressure, its crystalline quality marred by the gouges left in the wake of the two creatures which stalked the exterior. They were fearsome things, at least in Aqua’s eyes, unlike any Heartless she had ever seen-- Save perhaps a Darkside, but Darksides never sported masks over their twisted faces, and the holes that ran through them were heartlike in shape. Shadows, the actual Heartless, skulked about their legs in anticipation, allowing the bigger ones to do the strong work of breaking down the magic that stood between them and their prey.
This would be no easy feat. But then again, nothing about recent events had been that way either. NULL was giving the island the fight of their lives. Backed into a corner by the onslaught, Aqua steeled herself as she prepared to lower the barrier. There was no way out except for through them, and it didn’t matter if they were heartless or not-- She had not come this far only to die here.
As she raised her Keyblade, light began to gather at the very tip as she focused on each enemy, gauging their movements and locking them into her sight. A Shotlock was a surefire way to deal the burst damage she needed to get free of them, but as she lined it up, the attention of one of the bigger monsters turned behind them, though the other remained focused on breaking the barrier.
The first lunged away, and Aqua could make out the figure of a woman clad in black in the distance-- Its new target. Her eyes widened, and she shifted her Keyblade to the right so she wouldn’t hit her with any stray magic. With a quick wave of her hand, the barrier lowered, and the Prism Rain fired from her blade to meet its targets as they scrambled inwards to a frenzy.
Aqua hoped her words would reach the other over the din of battle. The Shadows had almost all been eliminated by the Prism Rain ( some having followed the first monster ), but the looming creature was another story. Its white mask bore down on her, eyes red and glowing, the teeth which had taken up most of it having been cracked in her assault. Aqua could not follow up with the other woman, only lift her Keyblade in defense, pushing it vigorously back in an attempt to gain some ground. A shove, and it stumbled, allowing for a fast, hard swipe of her Keyblade downwards-- A blow, she prayed, that would end it quickly.
